Landscaping

This page is dedicated to focusing on landscaping and updates on some of our primary obligations. As part of an agreement between the City of Arroyo Grande and the original developers, the HOA is responsible for maintaining a retention basin and erosion control system along James Way and Canyon Way. The HOA has contracted with GLM Landscaping to help us fulfill this obligation. We have posted this report to inform our members of how the HOA has addressed these issues.

REMINDER: All homeowners are to submit plans to the ARC for any outside improvements to their property, including, but not limited to front yard landscaping changes, parkway landscaping changes, exterior repainting, and installation of solar panels to name a few.

At the Annual HOA Meeting of November 30, 2020, a presentation was made regarding the Village Glen South Entrance Landscaping Rejuvenation Project. The following was the presentation made to the membership:

PARKWAYS: Back in 2017 a group of homeowners developed a guideline for parkway improvements other than sod. For more information regarding these alternatives, please contact a Board Member. In addition, the Board also approved the attached conceptual parkway landscaping image: parkway_rendering_example.pdf

The following is an example of the type of plant material used in the parkway by one of the homeowners:

In 2021 the Board approved revisions to the parkway landscaping to clarify the intent of the guidelines. The following are those revised guidelines:
